We heard so much good things about this place and decided to try it on Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately on the booth. Since we were hungry, we chose $34 for 2 menu which includes 5 dishes & 1 appetizers. Each portion was very generous and we had lots of leftovers. - Egg flower soup: a bit bland for our taste - Wonton soup: the broth was kinda plain. But the wontons were very good! They were flavorful and had slight sweetness in the filling. - Deep fried prawns: very good and not oily. The prawns were big & perfectly cooked. The coating was just the perfect amount. The hot mustard and ketchup were the perfect dip for this dish - Sweet & sour pork: delicious. My kid's favorite! However, the sweet and sour sauce was more sweet and no sourness. The pork pieces were tender & juicy. - Fried rice: good regular fried rice but a bit plain - Cashew chicken: good. The veggies tasted fresh. The chicken pieces were tender. They were generous on the cashew as well. - HK style fried noodle with chicken: we upgraded the chow mien to deep fried noodle. The dish was good. There were lots of chicken pieces and the celery pieces were fresh.

Hop Sing Palace is a fantastic old-school Chinese restaurant that never disappoints! I've tried various dishes here, and I can honestly say I've never ordered anything I didn't like. The pot stickers are large, hot, and absolutely fantastic--definitely a must-try! The hot and sour soup is unique and has a flavor profile unlike any I've experienced before, and I love it! Plus, the portions are huge, so you definitely get your money's worth. The staff is always friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The only downsides are the difficult parking situation and the fact that I wish they offered delivery. If you're looking for delicious Chinese food in a welcoming atmosphere, Hop Sing Palace is the place to go!

One of our favorite older restaurants. Recent meals have not been served warm enough for our taste. We don't like to send food back, but lukewarm temperatures are not for us.

Atmosphere: clean, comfortable, old school Chinese restaurant The food: delicious and tasted very fresh, portion sizes are large! The service: excellent - we were greeted immediately and the waiter brought us hot tea and a pitcher of ice water. Our waitress was extremely attentive and our food came quickly. She checked on us often but not annoyingly so. Pro tip: you can park in the large parking garage nearby, parking is hard to come by in Folsom. They serve beer and wine, the choices were decent!

WOWZA!!!! The Best Chinese restaurant! My Son came a couple weeks ago and told me how great it was now I came with my Husband and we absolutely LOVED IT! EXCELLENTE!!!!!! The Value is crazy! Our new Favorite! May our waitress and Bill the owner were so GREAT!

Yesterday, was my first visit to the restaurant. It is my sister-in-laws favorite place. I'm gluten free (not by choice) and I searched for items on the menu that might be safe. I made my order and the waitress said, "You should have told me you are gluten free." They made my order gluten free!!! I was so pleased. They even had gluten free soy sauce. It was a huge surprise and it made me happy. I'm only two months into my gluten free journey. Also, the atmosphere was great, cute place, and the owner even stopped by the table to say hello.

A hidden gem in old town folsom. Hop Sing is a classic and been open for over 20 years. The restaurant decor takes you back in time and the food is delicious. All your favorite typical Chinese dishes are made with care here and portions are generous. Bill and his wife are personable and truly cares about your experience and the overall taste of your dishes. Don't expect big steam fish or lobsters here as this is not the seafood Chinese restaurant. Think regular Chinese food like Kung Pao or Sweet n Sour Pork, egg rolls and chow mien. The dishes that all American folks likes then this is your spot! The combos are always a great value. Bring a friend or your family to dinner and you will have a great time.

This is still our go to spot for Chinese food! We take everyone here and are never disappointed!! The staff is incredible - always friendly and happy to be there. We are thankful for the delicious food and wonderful dining experience!

Situated in old Folsom with a spacious parking lot conveniently located across the street. I've been eager to give this place a try ever since it was showcased on Lisa Ling's docuseries 'Take Out'. We went for the lunch combination plates and decided to customize the options for a small extra charge. The service was excellent, our order was taken promptly, and our food arrived fast and piping hot!
